“Salvatorians are sent to live and proclaim in community,
in a profound relationship with God,
so that all may feel and know the love and closeness of the Father,
manifested in his Son Jesus the Savior.”
Fr. Milton Zonta, SDS, General Superior for the Society of the Divine Savior, shared these words in Rome, Italy, last May, as the Catholic Church celebrated the beatification of our Salvatorian founder, Blessed Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, during a special Mass of Thanksgiving.
Our priests and brothers serving in Salvatorian ministries at parishes, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and universities remain committed to making Jesus known and loved through all ways and means. Our ministries continue to evolve as we pray and depend on our constant trust in Divine Providence to show us the way.
Last May, we invited you to pray a special weekly Novena with our provincial office in anticipation of July 21st, Blessed Francis Jordan’s newly established feast day within the Catholic liturgical calendar and the anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. We are filled with hope and excitement as we approach this first anniversary.
We invite you and your loved ones to print the prayer, pray it often and ask Blessed Francis Jordan to pray for your special intentions.
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING for the recognition of our FOUNDER BLESSED FRANCIS JORDAN by the Church
O God of love and kindness, we give you thanks for raising up for your people the inspiring example of Blessed Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan.
Hear our prayers, that through his intercession, we may be granted the grace to respond to our apostolic vocation with zeal and trust, as he did.

Give us the courage to embrace our call like Blessed Francis Jordan, with the desire to save all people. Enlighten us to be united in mission so that all may know, love, and serve our Divine Savior.
We pray this through Jesus Christ, who lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.
