Michael Neeland – Candidate

Background: Degree in social work from Gannon University, Erie, Penn.Before joining the Salvatorians, Michael worked as a social worker for a nonprofit in New York. He believes his calling came through a series of life experiences that allowed him to serve God’s people. “I accepted the challenge of priest to be quiet and listen,” he said. “It was when I was quiet that I sensed God’s persistence, and answered His call to become a Salvatorian priest.”

Why the Salvatorians?
Michael said the Salvatorian charism fits his own personal mission.

Hobbies: Sports spectator, especially hockey. Being outside; camping, hiking and downhill skiing.

Favorite Authors: Jean Vanier, Stephen Ambrose
