MEET SOME OF OUR MEN IN FORMATION

Alvaro Diaz – Candidate
Background: Degree in education. Before joining the Salvatorians, Alvaro worked in an elementary school and as an accountant. Since age 18 he has felt a call to religious life, and to working against human trafficking. “Being accepted, useful and trusted gives meaning and joy to my life,” he said. “It is wonderful to be in the company of others and feel as though I am a part of something.”
Why the Salvatorians?
“We are doers, not simply preachers, accepting of all and willing to work with a person’s raw material,” Alvaro said. “The Salvatorians see the value and talent of each person and help put those talents forth for the betterment of humanity.”
Hobbies: Reading and exercising.
Favorite Author: St. Teresa of Avila
Favorite Scripture: “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” - Matthew 9:9-13
