 In 1892, Father Francis Jordan - the Founder of the Society of the Divine Savior
- sent several Brothers and Priests from Europe to the mission territories in the northwest part of the United
States. Others followed them. This was the beginning of what would become the USA Province. Today the members of
the Society - part of “The Salvatorian Family” - minister “by all ways and means possible” (Jordan’s
directive) in many parts of the country. We are indebted to the Salvatorian pioneers
who first came to this land and who left us their legacy of faith, courage, determination, and joy. They are truly
“our ancestors in faith.” Supported by the example of ministry they gave us, we look toward the horizon to find
our place, our mission, always aware of those who have gone before us. As we stand tall to see our future, these
are the people

of the USA Province - dating from the early Salvatorian pioneers who came to this country in 1892 to the present
... when they lived ... where they ministered ... and a little about who they were.
