It was a long-standing tradition (from 1939 to 1981) for the seminaries and schools
conducted by the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers to present "The
Passion of the Savior" during the season of Lent. Each year,
thousands of people came to the plays, and for many people it became a yearly ritual, a part of their Lenten spiritual
journey.
While these performances are now only memory, we hope that this reflection on "The Passion of the Savior" - using
many photographs from the performances of the Passion Play in the various Salvatorian schools - will help provide
a moment of peace and spiritual growth for you.
This 16-minute DVD (see note below *)
audio-video presentation is a stunning visual reflection on the story of Christ's passion and death, using quotes
from all four Gospels. With its classical soundtrack, it makes the perfect meditation and reflection for Lent -
or any other time we need to be reminded of just how much God loves us! |

DVD-rom drives, they might not play on older or less expensive DVD players that are capable of showing only DVD
movies.) |
