Memories of St. Nazianz -
Salvatorian Seminary
This DVD audio-video program brings back the memories of Salvatorian Seminary
in St. Nazianz, Wisconsin, which was run by the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers from the early 1900's to the late
1960's.
The two audio-video presentations on this DVD contain over 600 photos taken by
the late Fr. Leo Herbst SDS
from 1936 to 1968, during his years as a teacher in the seminary.

There are two presentations on
this DVD:
Memories of St. Nazianz - Salvatorian Seminary
Take a journey through a typical school-year in the life of the many thousands of seminarians who lived at the
school in eastern Wisconsin through the years. Their daily life certainly had its share of study and prayer, but
there was also plenty of time for sports, recreation, and the enjoyment of friendships which would last a lifetime.
You'll also see pictures from the famed Passion Play, an annual presentation at the school for many years. (Program is approximately 45 mins. long) |
Construction & Tour of the Campus
See the construction of the buildings and the changes on the campus over the years. After that, we'll take you
on a tour of the buildings and the beautiful grounds of the seminary and the Salvatorian Monastery. (Program is approximately 10 mins. long)
This DVD can be viewed on a regular DVD player (see note below *) or on your computer's DVD-rom
drive. You can also view the photos individually on your computer's DVD-rom drive, through a directory program
(such as Windows Explorer) or any graphics-viewing program. This will be especially appreciated by former students
who want to spend a little more time with each of the photos, or for anyone who appreciates excellent photography
work, as done here by Fr. Leo. |
 |
|
And for anyone who would like to see what seminary life was like in those years,
these presentations will give you a good idea, and will help create a mood where you can relive those days right
along with the students.
This DVD is available for a donation of $15 each. (We'll take care of the postage.)
* (Please note: We create each DVD here in the Salvatorian
Archives, using DVD-R discs. While these will play on newer "multi-format" DVD players and on all computer
DVD-rom drives, they might not play on older or less expensive DVD players that are capable of showing only DVD
movies.) |
